I started walking quite some time ago now. It was really by accident that I discovered that I liked it. At the time I was attending an art school in the countryside outside Linköping and long walks to and from the bus where par for the course. After a while I started setting off a little early and catching the bus at a bus stop further away, simply because I enjoyed being outside so much.
The first few years in the UK, I went walking almost every weekend and I started publishing photos from my walks in December 99. Unfortunately, in 2003 I had a nasty incident involving cattle. Since then I don't walk as often anymore. But I still publish pages from my holidays and the occasional day trip.
In December 2002, I got a blog on LiveJournal and started publishing incidental photography in it. I've also got a Flickr stream.
I have easy access to the Chilterns and the Cotswolds, both designated Areas of Outstanding Beauty, something I really appreciate. But I also go to other parts of the UK, US and Europe.
